Properties of composite portland cement produced with steel and blast furnace slags [Çelikhane ve yüksek firm cürufu katkili portland çimentosunun özellikleri]

During iron production granulated blast furnace slag (GYFC) and steel slag (ÇC) are produced as a by-product. These products, which are produced approximately 50 million tones per year, pose a great threat to environment. In this study, GYFC and ÇC were exchanged with Clinker-gypsum mixture and 22 different combinations were produced. Specific surface, specific gravity, volume expansion, Vicat setting time, compressive and flexural strengths, sulfate resistance and durability to high temperature tests were conducted on 22 different cements that were produced. In case of replacement 50 % Clinker with mixtures of ÇC and GYFC has given best result.
