Effects of Character Recognition with Shell Histogram Method Using Plate Characters

Character recognition is a study that has been used in various fields for many years. In character recognition, the aim is to identify the various texts, letters and symbols in the images as accurately and quickly as possible. In addition to the Optical Character Recognition (OCT) method, which is used as a very common method, there are many feature extraction methods in which character image features are compared. In this study, which is presented as another feature extraction method, the letters on the license plates are recognized. Feature vectors for letter characters were created using character pixel densities in sectors. Feature vectors are analyzed linearly and an alternative quick character recognition method is presented. With the proposed method, the element numbers of the feature vectors are kept constant. The algorithm development and implementation for 3d printers based on adaptive PID controller

The 3D printers widely used in the world are produced in different mechanical and electronic designs. The 3D printers which have various mechanical structures such as cartesian, delta and core (xy, xz) already are used open source code software such as Sprinter, Marlin, Cura 3D and Teacup. The control of the 3D printers is usually done by the classical Propotional-Integral-Derivative (PID) control algorithm. In this study, we have developed for the designed 3D printer a new software by using adaptive PID control algorithm instead of classical PID. Five step motors of the designed 3D printer are controlled by the adaptive PID. In add . . .ition, there are both heating and cooling processes in the extruder system and these processes are controlled by the adaptive PID. The mechanical design uses a belt and pulley drive system which is suitable for accelerated movements. Classification of Power Quality Disturbances with 2D Discrete Wavelet Transform and Bagged Decision Trees Method

In this study, to classify Power Quality (PQ) disturbances, attributes are extracted by 2D Discrete Wavelet Transform (2D-DWT) method and Support Vector Machines, Artificial Neural Networks and Bagged Decision Trees (BDT) methods are used for classification stage. 2200 signals are synthetically produced for 11 different PQ disturbances, including noisy (40 dB, 30 dB and 20 dB) and noiseless states.
