The fragmentation mechanism of the super heated Ni4 cluster is studied by employing the microcanonical molecular dynamics simulations and an empirical model potential. Ni4 cluster is heated up above the bulk Ni evaporation point temperature and then classical trajectory analysis as well as RRK theory are used to calculate survival probability, evaporation rate, average kinetic energy release and dissociation energy.

Solar pond conception - experimental and theoretical studies

A one dimensional transient mathematical model for predicting the thermal performance of the salt gradient solar pond is developed and presented. In this paper, the natural solar ponds and different artificial solar pond systems found in the literature are introduced. Necessary modifications are made on the experimental stand located in Istanbul Technical University, the experimental stand is introduced and natural phenomena produced in the pond by the different solar pond variations under natural conditions are observed. The kinetics of formation and dissociation reactions of [Ru(CN)5L]3- with a series of heterocyclic ligands were studied in aqueous media. In this presence of an excess of heterocycle, the observed second order rate constants were calculated from the kobs versus [ligand] plot at µ = 0.100 M NaClO4. Activation parameters for the formation reactions (?H‡ = 28 ± 7 kJ mol-1 and ?S‡ = 140 ± 35 J K-1 mol-1) are comparable for all systems, indicating a common mechanism. The kinetics of exchange of coordinated heterocycles for 1,3,5-triazine yielded a rate saturation typical of a limiting dissociative mechanism. In this study, a model was used for the optimization of product mix (the amounts of each product in the mixture) in particleboard industry by using linear programming. A theoretical model was constructed in which operations research methods and linear programming were applied to the maximization of the profit of a particleboard mill (KÖYKOBIR) as the consumer of industrial wood. To this end, 1993-1994-1995-1996 production, sales, stock quantities and costs as well as data related to capacities of the chipping, drying, pressing, sanding and gluing units were processed. Bu çalışmada, Bartın ili ve çevresinde çilek yetiştiriciliğinin yoğun şekilde yapıldığı alanları temsilen seçilen 30 plantasyondan alınan toprak ve yaprak örnekleri materyal olarak kullanılmıştır. Toprak örneklerinde bazı fiziksel ve kimyasal analizler (pH, CaCOj, elektriki geçirgenlik, organik madde ve bünye, N, P, K, Ca, Mg ve Na), yaprak örneklerinde de makro besin elementleri (N, P, K, Ca, Mg ve Na) analizleri yapılmıştır. Analiz sonuçları, ilgili referans değerleri ile karşılaştırılarak toprakların fiziksel ve kimyasal özellikleri açısından çilek yetiştiriciliğine uygunlukları ile bitkilerin beslenme durumları incelenmiş, istat . . .istiki değerlendirmeler ile de mevcut toprak-bitki ilişkileri araştırılmıştır. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre, plantasyonların % 56,6'sında N, tamamında Pve% 43,3 'ünde ise K ile beslenme açısından yetersizlik olabileceği belirlenmiştir. In this study, soil and leaf samples were used as material, which were taken from 30 selected plantations representing the areas which strawberry was intensively grown in Bartın province: Some physical and chemical analyses (pH, CaCO},, electrical conductivity, organic matter and texture) were made in only soil samples but macro elements analyses (N, P, K, Ca, Mg and Na contents) were done in both soil and leaf samples. The suitability of soils for physical and chemical characteristics to strawberry growing and the cases for nutrition of plants were studied, comparing the results of analyses with reference values. In addition, the present relationships between soil and plant were investigated by statistical evaluations. The objective of this study was to estimate biomass per tree for Alnus glutinosaGaertn. subsp. barbata(C. A. Mey.) Yalt. stands in the east Black Sea region of Turkey, Dry-weight tables constructed by means of the material collected from 86 sample trees chosen in 19 constructed by means of the material collected from 86 sample trees chosen in 19 trials in the Black Sea region between Persembe and Kemalpasa within 10-1510 m altitude. Sample plots were established 0.04 ha in size in stands of various maturity stages, sites and density classes within the specified population. The plots were laid as squares (20x20 m) using the N-Sand E- . . .W cardinal directions. All living and dead trees larger than or equal to 5.1 cm dbh were measured and recorded in all sample plots. Where possible, at least two sample trees of average health and vigor and of unbroken top from each dbhob class of living trees and from different heights within the dbh classes were selected for mass and volume sampling. Each sample tree was cut at approximately 0.30 m above groung level. On each living tree height, diameter, double bark thickness and total age were measured. All the branches of the trees were cut, subdivided and piled separately in three groups. All leaf-bearing twigs and leaves were removed from the live branches. New cones and the old cones of the previous years were collected and piled separately. The main stem was cut at 1/3, 2/3 and the top of merchantable height. Green mass of the three sections of the merchantable stem, large live branches, small live branches, dead branches, new and old cones were taken and recorded separately.Green mass of twigs and leaves were taken and recorded together. Green mass the top portion of the main stem was taken andrecorded.One bunch of samples of twigs and leaves (each sample being about 150 gr), some samples from each pile of cones, two sample disks (8 cm to 10 cm length) one from the large and one from the small living branches, four sample disks 3 cm to 4 cm in thickness from the breast height, the lower and of the sections 1/2, 1/3 and of the top of the merchantable stem were collected. Measurements of localised flux density and power loss under PWM excitation in a typical stator core

Radial, tangential and resultant flux densities and power loss in a typical stator core from a non oriented non silicon electrical steel were studied at five different locations behind teeth and slots. Results show that the pulse width modulated (PWM) flux density is almost similar with sinusoidal one.
