Jonge, 2014) to Turkish and to examine its psychometric properties. The research was conducted on 199 workers. Results of confirmatory factor analysis demonstrated that this scale yielded 3 factors, as original form (x²= 64.43, df= 31, RMSEA= .078, CFI= .96, IFI= .96, GFI= .94, SRMR= .067). Corrected item-total correlations ranged .42 to .69. Thus Blended Working Scale can be used as a valid and reliable instrument in education Daha fazlası Daha az

Resilience and Redundance: Resource Networks and the Neolithic Chert Economy at Catalhoyuk, Turkey

Nazaroff, Adam Joseph | Baysal, Adnan | Ciftci, Yahya | Prufer, Keith

Article | 2015 | EUROPEAN JOURNAL OF ARCHAEOLOGY18 ( 3 ) , pp.402 - 428

The polycentric nature of Neolithic developments in the Middle East has prompted several discussions related to the processes driving regional diversification in the emergence of agglomerate societies. Archaeologists have recognized how diverse social, environmental, and material landscapes shaped various communities, resulting in a heterogenous Neolithic world. In this paper, we use portable x-ray fluorescence analysis to determine the use of different chert resources at the site of Catalhoyuk, Turkey, and question how their consumption affected, and was affected by, different social and material practices enacted within the commun . . .ity. We adopt a network perspective to examine the range of behaviours that consumed particular resources, and trace how alterations in these networks impacted the social fabric of Catalhoyuk. Ultimately, we conclude that different investments involved in the consumption of each resource either promoted or restricted their use through time. A more complete picture of Neolithic life, we suggest, takes note of the varied relationships that communities developed with nearby social and environmental landscapes, including nuances in the ways in which resources were incorporated into different facets of each community Daha fazlası Daha az

Mangıt Hanedanlığı, Timur Devleti'nin yıkılışının ardından Türkistan'da ortaya çıkan hanlıklardan biri olan Buhara Hanlığı'nı 1785-1920 yılları arasında idare eden üç hanedandan birisidir. Bolşeviklerin 1920 yılında Buhara'yı işgali sırasında tahtta bulunan Âlim Han, önce Doğu Buhara'ya çekilmiş, oradan da askerî yardım sağlama amacıyla Afganistan'a gitmiştir. Âlim Han, 1944 yılında vefat edince hanedan mensupları Afganistan'ın değişik yerlerine dağılmışlardır. Afganistan'da mülteci durumundaki hanedan mensupları 1979 yılında yaşanan Rus işgali ve sonrasında çıkan iç savaş nedeniyle Pakistan'a sığınmışlardır. Türkiye Cumhuriyeti Bak . . .anlar Kurulu'nun kararıyla, 1983 yılında Pakistan'dan Türkiye'ye getirilerek Gaziantep iline yerleştirilmişlerdir.Yaşanan süreçte hanedan mensuplarının dil ve aidiyet duygularında meydana gelen muhtemel değişimlerin tespiti bu çalışmanın amacını oluşturmaktadır. Yapılan saha çalışmasında ikili görüşme, derinlemesine mülakat ve anket tekniğine başvurulmuştur. Hanedan mensuplarının siyasi kimlikleri dolayısıyla tarihî süreçten de bahsedilmiştir Mangit Dynasty is one of the three dynasties governing the Buhara Dynasty that appeared in Turkestan after the fall of the Timurids between 1785-1920. During the occupation of Bukhara by the Bolsheviks, Alim Han initially retreated to East Bukhara and headed from there to Afghanistan to maintain martial support. After Alim Han's death in 1944, the members of his dynasty spread to different parts of Afghanistan. Living as refugees in Afghanistan, they then took refuge in Pakistan because of the Russian invasion in 1979 and the civil war that followed. Through the decision of the Council of Ministers of the Turkish Republic they were placed in the Gaziantep province of Turkey in 1983. Exploring the dynasty members' potential change of language and sense of belonging during this period forms the aim of this study. Capital structure is an important factor in planning and realising operations of a company. Operations and decisions of a company shape the capital structure. The aim of this paper is to investigate the firm-specific determinants of capital structure under changing economic conditions in Turkey. The paper applies panel data analysis for manufacturing firms listed on the Borsa Istanbul (BIST) over the period of 2003-2011. Results show that, established theories such as trade-off, pecking order, and market timing fail to explain the observed leverages adequately, largely made up of short time debts. This outcome is not surprising as most of the assumptions of these theories are effective for the developed markets, which are not in force in the developing countries Daha fazlası Daha az

Tortop H.S.

Article | 2015 | Journal for the Education of Gifted Young Scientists3 ( 1 ) , pp.42 - 57

The studies related to what skills are firstly needed to be gained in the gifted students' education are increasing gradually. The gifted individuals' being independent learners are desirable situation. Self-regulation skills are a set of abilities that help a person to control and monitor their own behavior, thoughts and changing flexibly them in accordance with the demands of the situation. When viewed from this aspect, it can be said that self-regulation skills should be gained in the educations of the gifted students. In this study, a Self-regulation Skills for Science Learning Scale (SSSLS) has been developed by researcher. Tha . . .nks to this scale, the self-regulation skills of the gifted students and non-gifted in learning science have been compared. The sample of the research has been determined in accordance with purposeful sampling method. Non-gifted students are the students who study in two schools determined according to typical sampling method in a province the socio-economic level of which in Turkey is medium-scale. The gifted students are those who enrolled in Science and Art Centre that gives education to the gifted students in the same province. 264 students have been determined at the level of 4th to 8th grade in the sample of the research. As the result of research findings, it has been determined that gifted students' self-regulation skills for science learning are higher than the non-gifted students. It has seen that there are significant differences between the self-regulation skills points of both groups in science learning (p < 0.001).However, a significant difference hasn't been seen at the metacognitive skills dimension that is one of the sub-dimensions of the scale (p > 0.05).The metacognitive skills contain very important skills (e.g. goal setting, monitoring, self-assessment, regulation) on the nurturing of talent. The students' not having differentiation in the scores of metacognitive skills can be indicator that available gifted education programs doesn't have the quality to develop these skills. © 2015 Journal for the Education of Gifted Young Scientists Daha fazlası Daha az
